Just a little more than a mile down the road is the resort village of Windham. Early in the 19th century, Windham began charming summer vacationers.

Today, with its gracious Victorian homes and nineteenth century storefronts, the village retains its quaint character, and has become the hub of a four-season ski resort, superb trout fishing, horseback riding, hiking, canoeing, cross-country skiing and six major downhill ski areas are all to be enjoyed here.

Day trips by car can be easily made to nationally known Howe Caverns, the Catskill Game Farm, Cooperstown, Saratoga and Albany, the State Capital.
